On retrieving IP addresses

The IP address I require is the actual IP address on the network card which may be private IP addresses. What I think we need to do is ... send the IP address as a prt of the message header since if the user is behind a NAT box, his IP may be changed. Thenn we need to read this message on the server and store it. Can someone help me with this? Thank you in advance Dhama.
