Project in VS2008 with 3.5 target

Author Name Status Posted Time Tristan Oeggel 5/20/2008 2:27:26 AM Author is Offline Hi everybody, On a Win XP Pro system, I created a Web Application Project in VS2008 with 3.5 target. Using a setup project I have deployed it on a Win2003 Server. Even though the project was developed in 3.5, in WIN2003 IIS only shows DotNet 1.1 and 2.0 as my choices for the website. I have installed DotNet 3.0 and 3.5 several time but the IIS on Win2003 Server ignores them. I am running IIS6.0. Do I need IIS 7.0? Any assistance will be appreciated.

Even thou gh they are new versions of the Framework, they st ill use the .NET 2.0 CLR. So it should still stay as .NET 2.0 in IIS. Is there somewhere an step by step list of how to configure the deployment portion of the VS2008 setup projects on the web server? thanks again. Post Comments Re: Project in VS2008 with 3.5 target Waclawa Zozo 5/20/2008 4:06:45 AM Does the ASP.NET process account have permission to the page?  Or the logged in user if you use Windows authentication?  Did you set the correct default document in IIS?  IIS help is next door at www.iis.net, same login/password as here.
