An issue of Web Parts and .NET 3.5 AJAX

Author Name Status Posted Time Naquib Moos 6/3/2008 3:36:26 AM Author is Offline Hi friends, So I understand that external update panels should be fixed and working in .NET 3.5, but I've run into a few problems.  For example, if I wrap two web part zones in a single update panel (so I can drag and drop web parts between the two zones using a partial-page postback) in design mode, I can do so once, or maybe twice, and then I am no longer able to drop (but I can still drag). I've double checked to make sure that I wasn't referencing anything older (system.web.extensions is version 3.5.0.0).   Has anyone else run into this problem/found a solution? Can you drag drop controls between WebPartZones without a postback? Is your WebPartManager \ WebPartZones contained within an Update Panel (Or do you have Update Panels contained within WebPartZones)? By "Futures stuff" do you mean you used the "ASP.NET 3.5 Extensions Preview " downloaded from http://asp.net/ajax/downloads/ ? I would really appriciate some help on this. Im using VS2008 with 3.5 Framework. I have everything working apart from being able to drag \ drop controls within WebPartZones when contained within an Update Panel.   Post Comments
